In 2014, Ben completed a research project for ABC TV's Media Watch program in conjunction with the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism.

He has presented on 2ser and the Community Radio Network, most notably as a presenter and reporter for The Wire, a daily current affairs program broadcast exclusively on community and Indigenous radio stations around Australia.

He has written program notes and given pre-concert talks for a variety of ensembles around the nation.

As a participant of the 2014 Australian Youth Orchestra National Music Camp ‘Words About Music’ program, Ben produced and presented an interval feature for ABC Classic FM. He was subsequently awarded the 2014 Music Presentation Fellowship, a program facilitated by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and ABC Radio National's The Music Show.

Ben has worked at the Sydney Story Factory and is a voluntary content producer for The Pinnacle Foundation
